The best time to visit Mallorca depends on what you want to do when you’re there. If you want to enjoy the nightlife, then summer is your best bet. If you want to explore the island without all of the crowds, then you’ll need to avoid the school holidays. Another major factor is the weather. To help you plan your visit to Mallorca, we’ve put together some information about what you can expect from the weather in each month of the year.

January

January is typically the coldest month of the year in Mallorca with an average temperature of 10°C. The weather is still much milder than the UK though, with highs of 15°C and lows of 8°C, and you can still expect seven hours of sunshine per day. On average, it rains on six days during January and average rainfall across the month is 43mm.

February

February’s weather is usually similar to January’s in Mallorca. The average temperature remains at 10°C with highs of 16°C and lows of 8°C. Like January, you can expect six rainy days although there is slightly less rainfall predicted with a monthly average of 37mm. In February, you’ll usually get eight hours of sunshine per day.

March

March is slightly warmer than the previous two months with highs of 17°C and lows of 10°C. The average temperature for March is 12°C. Average rainfall is 28mm and there are normally five days of rain. On average there are nine daily sunshine hours.

April

The weather in Mallorca continues to get warmer as we reach April with an average temperature of 14°C. You can enjoy highs of 19°C and lows of a mild 12°C. It is, however, a little bit rainier than March with average rainfall of 39mm. Like March, there is rain on five days on average. As the days get longer, you can expect 10 hours of sunshine per day.

May

May is when the island typically starts to attract more visitors. With highs of 23°C and lows of 15°C, it’s not hard to see why. The average temperature of 18°C and the 12 daily hours of sunshine are perfect for exploring all the island has to offer. There’s still a fair chance of rain in May with average rainfall at 36mm and four average rain days.

June

June is another popular month with holidaymakers. You can expect highs of 27°C and lows of 19°C and an average temperature of 21°C. June is much drier than the previous months with average rainfall of just 11mm and rain on just two days on average. Like May, there are an average of 12 hours of sunshine per day.

July

July is the driest month of the year with average rainfall of 6mm and only one rainy day on average. July also has the highest number of average sunshine hours with 13 hours of sun expected each day. With highs of 29°C, lows of 22°C, and an average temperature of 24°C, July is the perfect time of year for sun-seekers.

August

As you might expect, August is the hottest month of the year in Mallorca. The average temperature is 25°C and there are highs of 30°C and lows of 23°C. There is usually more rain in August with average rainfall of 22mm but there are just two rainy days on average. You should get 12 daily hours of sunshine.

September

September is a great time to visit Mallorca if you want to enjoy the good weather but avoid the crowds of the summer. There are highs of 27°C and lows of 20°C and an average temperature of 21°C. It can be rainy in September with average rainfall of 52mm and five average rain days. The days are still fairly long and you can expect 10 hours of sunshine per day.

October

October is typically the rainiest month in Mallorca with average rainfall of 69mm and seven average rain days. Despite this, the weather is still warm with highs of 24°C and lows of 17°C and an average temperature of 18°C. On average, there are eight hours of sunshine per day.

November

Mallorca in November might be too cold for sunbathing but it’s the perfect weather for exploring the island. The average temperature is 14°C and you can expect highs of 19°C and lows of 12°C. It’s slightly less rainy than October with an average of 59mm of rain across six days. Due to the days getting shorter, there are an average of seven hours of sunshine per day.

December

December is another rainy month in Mallorca with average rainfall of 48mm and an average of seven rainy days. You’ll also only get six hours of sunshine per day. The weather is still mild though, with highs of 17°C and lows of 10°C and an average temperature of 11°C.
